Well some of Asia's smartest were on the BBC and claimed it was Asian countries including China piling tons of money into the USA to push the US Dollar up and by default devalue their currencies.
To me that makes more sense than sane people assuming that the US would not default . I would like a Dollar for the times I have heard on TV Yanks say "We should Default on our Debts" and we will be on clover.
