Good on Prima BioMed chairwoman Lucy Turnbull for sticking things out at the pharmaceutical minnow.
A touch under two years ago, the value of Turnbull's stake in the company halved to $728,142 in a horror day of trading after the release of lacklustre results from its trial of its ovarian cancer drug.
After a $15 million equity injection from US firm Ridgeback Capital last week at 1.73¢ a share, the stock has climbed from 2.2¢ to 16¢ after the bell on Thursday – jumping 190 per cent yesterday alone. And Turnbull's stake? Now worth a tidy $5.5 million.
