Globalization has caused the West to forget some of the most important lessons of World War II. Something as basic and fundamental as the sourcing and control of the metals needed to generate armaments and ammunition has in many armies been delegated, outsourced or at worst ignored or forgotten. In these troubled times, the need for self-sufficiency and resilience in critical supply chains becomes fundamental to citizen security and a military imperative. QUOTE Our resources become more important with time the US and allies must act now to build domestic supply and processing facilities IMO.
