Yes Bernanke is on a hiding to nothing but he's a scholar specialising in the depression and other economic catastophies, so if he gets bullied and makes a mistake he does it with his eyes wide open.
I'm bearish at the moment and think the markets are telling us all is not well at home and abroad.
