RVR, not to insinuate you're unaware of this, but market capitalization is simply the number of shares outstanding multiplied by the share price. Lynas has lost 66 cents per share recently or 23% of its market value since the Malaysian vote. Seems that the drop is disproportionate to the amount of risk the election "created".

Since November 27, 2017 Lynas has not risen much if using the current share price as the benchmark. The price was 2.22 yesterday while the price on November 23rd was .215 cents. But there was a reverse split so the .215 cents becomes 2.15. Taking yesterday's price minus 2.15 leaves you with 0.07/10 shares = .007. Since the reverse split, based on the original share number, Lynas shares have only gone up 7/10ths of ONE CENT real money!

In real dollars, Lynas is continuing with its multi-year sideways movement of a near flat share price. With the share price higher, 2.22 compares to .215 the movement "looks larger" only due to a value of the reverse split. Owning one hundred thousand shares last night gave you a gain of $700 since November 27th or roughly $116.67 per month.

It is interesting to talk about electric motors and batteries and the like but unless we start talking about why the stock price is doing the gyrations it has done recently and why Lynas management seems to be mute on the subject, I don't think we'll hit the $4 by the annual meeting. Personally I'd like it to hit $40 per share but I'm not too sure we'll get there.
