Speaking of SC, I came across nea reviews from former employees on glassdoor.com, as seen in this thread:
nea_glassdoor_thread Most reviews were very negative and gave me the impression nea had a horrid workplace culture and was ready to implode at any moment.
Fast forward till now; SC has been in the job since 2011. After studying several videos of interviews with SC I see him as a very strong leader. I was trying to pick the autocratic animal character implied in the glassdoor reviews, but I didn't see it.
He frequently mentions the following;
- An 'end to end' solution, demonstrating knowledge and drive of the whole solution space. It's no good having the best camera but poor delivery to customers.
- Customer churn. Demonstrates a desire to retain customers.
- Numbers. Frequently mentions key metrics.
- US expansion. The language he uses surrounding this tells me he is a visionary. He always mentions the future.
- Market focus. Very clear on target market whilst disregarding other markets not inline with company goals.
- Has a strong presence. The pazzaz factor.
All in all, this guy seems to know what he is doing. Management is not discussed often but probably the biggest factor in success.
