ASIC website shows that the reported daily short position of BTA for (Doesn't mean "as at") 29/10/2012 is 5,045,008. That is a big number. Next week, the
number for 30/10/2012 will be shown. It is interesting to see if the short position on the last trading day is still around 5m.

After the merger and share consolidation, the new Biota company will have around 28m outstanding shares. At $10 per share, the company is valued at $280m. that is still less than the $70+ and the $231m BARDA funding.
Let's hope the US market will value Biota more rationally and, ideally, aggressively. :P
