Last night I reminded myself of the timelines for various value-adding milestones. It had slipped my mind that the commencement of the US soft tissue / trauma trial may be imminent. The best indication of timing I can find is that a package of long term incentive shares will vest for our Managing Director if the trial starts within the next 6 weeks. Refer below from the Notice of AGM issued on 25/10/19 and subsequently approved.

subject to shareholder approval under Resolution 6 at the 2019 AGM the
following additional new RSUs -
(i) 6,850,484 RSUs to vest where the first patient first visit for treatment in
an FDA approved US soft tissue/trauma trial by the Company prior to 31
March 2020;

Avita claims this is a potential market segment worth US$550 million per annum (compared to current burns market of US$200 million). Refer Slide 5, AGM presentation, 26th November 2019.

Clearly it will be value-adding for shareholders for Recell to access this market, whilst Dr Perry will get a $6 million bonus if the trial commences by 30th March 2020. Perhaps we can look forward to announcement shortly?
