The whole point of crypto is to ignore banks and governments.
In the 1930’s US, you’d be hard pressed to liquidate your gold if you ignored the Executive Order.
In 2020 anywhere, liquidating a bit of bitcoin or buying something with it in Kazakhstan, Timbuktu, Saigon or London is piece of piss for some Executive Order ignoring Bitcoin rebel stuck in Peoria Illinois.
So again, how does the government “confiscate” my bitcoins? They don’t even know if I have some or which ones are mine.
