In this instance, very interesting reading. Whilst I may not necessarily get carried away by the S&P needing to go to 1600 or better, I do agree that overall US corporate profitability has been improving sharply, continues to do so, and continues to catch many analysts off-guard.
I am invested in several US based companies. Hence my disclosure. My "none" sentiment has more to do that my views on individual companies actually varies.
What I also found interesting from the weekend was reading the latest Fortune issue of its Fortune 500. As a percentage of revenue, the USA contributors to the Fortune 500 seemed to be operating in the range of 50-100% above the going rate of their global competitors.
