Not wanting to be a spoilsport here but a lot of folks think the recent bounce in futures and the greens we are seeing in Europe are window dressing by fund managers:

Though looking at the performance of indices over the new year this year (31/12/2008) when we should have had the mother of all window dressing, there seems to be little evidence of any dressing.
