This has got to be, finally, some good news out of America for AAD.

Donald Trump hails ‘revolutionary’ tax plan that cuts perk for high-tax states, collapses tax brackets

DONALD Trump has unveiled a new tax reform framework that cuts rates for businesses and collapses tax brackets for Americans.

Tax brackets reduced from 7 to 3, namely 12%, 25% and 35%, the tax free threshold raised to US$12  ($24 for couples) and company tax cut from 35% to 20%. It's a double boost for Main Event. And set to be tested in Congress before the end of the year.

Though the boost would mainly be via the individual tax cuts and higher thresholds, and therefore higher disposable income for Americans, under the US/Australian tax treaties, in the first instance,  the company tax reductions would see income tax fall for Main Event in the US, but correspondingly lower tax deductions for Ardent in Australia for its US operation.

Anyway, let's hope these tax laws make it through both  houses. You'd think they would- as republicans know they need a boost before the November 2018 mid terms.
