    well , yes , this has always been my argument - russia uses a lot more shells than Ukraine - a LOT more
    so the russian manufacture is big

    yes , does help employment in russia and does help GDP ....but not productivity or the bottom line when you don't sell them ....they just go up in smoke
    I seem to remember russia producing about 12 million shells a year ....at $500 ea equates to $6 billion just on vanilla 155m shells - not the "smart" ones which can cost a factor of more than a 100 more

    but apparently russian production of these shells still not enough to meet demaand of over 20 mill rounds per year

    would be nice to see wars stopped ....as they have already in western Europe (completely )....and the military indistrial complexes become a dinosaur , a thing of the past
