Your points are valid and there are more....However, there are a couple of important factors to consider.
1) The US Market is oversold (short term) and due for a technical bounce. My analysis sudgests that we may see this during Friday's trading.
2) Also, lets not forget the intervention of the FED. They have proved that they have a handle on the market. Hence, I believe that a Christmas Rally is not out of the question.
The Bears are in control leading into Thanksgiving. However, I believe that the Bulls will lead us out.
