Thanks also Tss. The Chinese are on the horns of a dilemma. They can't dump their massive holdings of dollars quickly, but no doubt would love to at least reduce them very significantly. There's not enough gold available to convert more than about 10% into gold. Perhaps part of the answer is to buy up companies which are likely to survive this crisis. Australia should be the beneficiary of some of this. They won't allow themselves to be bullied by the new administration.
