A few things on ths incident

These reporters seem to have no real conception that they are in a) a combat zone and b) a free-fire zone.

It seems they think themselves to be on a movie set saying "Quick - turn around and get that building being hit by mortars and heavy cal machine guns" without realising they may be next!?!

Secondly, they are not allowed to film or take pictures from their rooms. Consider if you were a soldier receiving small arms and perhaps sniper fire and you look up at the top floors and you see what aoppears to be a scope but is in fact a telephoto lens. Not knowing this you will fire.

They are supposed to be confined to reporting from the 1st floor and have admitted they were breaking the rules.
