A better Q would be just how much & what REO does US actually import?
Answer: Very little other than La & Ce, and virtually NO NdPr.
In fact they don't even import much NdFeB anymore, just 17% of Chinese exports (EU takes 52%) US imports its NdPr/NdFeB already manufactured into components & finished goods.
US will never be a significant REO mkt until they redevelop their middle supply chain, which would take most of a decade.
