you have to remember ireland had growth of in excess of 10% for a lot of years. the ISEQ irish stock market was 9990 at its peak back in 2007, remember it well. now we are at 2700 or there abouts. still havnt found a bottom in my view, both allied irish and bank of ireland were trading in the high teens (euro) now they are just above 50 cents on last look. so Ireland is a special case and we are in a DEEp Depression over here. courts dont have enough hours in the day to deal with the house reposesions. Ghost estates every where and a government that wants to tax whats left of us out of this, whilst they dont want to burn the bond holders who in the first place expected to lose anyway. they think its xmas that the irish government keeps proping up the banks.
