I saw this story a few days ago. It's an interesting discussion.
Namibia have auctioned off the right to hunt and kill an endangered Black Rhino. The winner paid US$390,000.
The money is to help Namibia run it's anti-poaching program which has been quite successful compared to Sth Africa
At first I was shocked, but after I read the details, not sure that I don't approve. But there are questions....
Is it right to kill something you're trying to protect for any reason?
Who was the winning bidder and what were their motives?
What can they do with the animal after it's been killed.
Can you believe that there's been a surge in the poaching of rhinos since a Vietnamese ministers relative was claimed to have been cured of cancer by using the rhino horn...
