US interest rates may be at the mercy of US creditors but the level of debt doesn't make it doomed. I guess it would help if the US regime stopped blowing money on unproductive things and started building productive assets, but our current regimes don't really do that. We seem to be are fixated on reduction.

So I gather you dont see an issue if the US has debt 170% to GDP in a recession . You think there will be no consequences.
