Hi Scanman,
per your request ... here is the MQG log chart for the year and a bit. In a clear upward trend channel -- it has just failed to surpass the last top and fallen back on reasonably high volume today. Support at 85.50, 84ish and 83 (bounced off 20 day today). I would think a move down through 83 would be short term bearish and see a downward break of the channel. A move up through 90 on volume sees continuation of the pattern. Not really committed either way at the moment though. Weird flow on from the dovish Fed statement which was positive for miners etc but bad for banks. New Basel 4 rules could create problems as well.
