    urkss.. it is interesting but there has very much been a resurgence in heavy industry and manufacturing in the US in recent years due to the boom in the shale oil / gas industry and the associated lowering of energy costs. New iron and steel plants have been constructed and there are many more on the drawing board as a result of this development. I have not seen this situation for many years. It would not be difficult to see this flow into the Aluminium industry given the high associated energy footprint. It also wouldn't surprise me to see Alcoa and others expand primary and secondary recycling operations in the US to take advantage of both scrap availability and previously mentioned energy cost... all my thoughts only but I am quietly confident we could see a positive outcome. Either way, an update is well overdue
