US structure is the most ineffective of all elected democracies. It worked well when there were no differences between democrats & the republicans and the only melody was anti communism/socialism. Most bills & budgets were bipartisan.
US will struggle for decades while many others will quietly overtake them in GDP game. The good think of it is that the markets will not be dictated by Wall Street gangsters but by many other markets with real values.
