The problem of course and one that the West probably wont gamble on, thank goodness is..

And without going over the SH stuff again, it sure is sweet with all the hindsight around to say that he didnt have the wmd. Facts are still emerging and for mine, the jury is still out.

But even if they were wrong..... at the time everyone...absolutely everyone from Blix to Butler. From Bush to Blair. Everyone believed his WMD capacity still existed.

Sure there were many competing views on how to manage the threat going forward but no one back then surmised he had truely disarmed.

And they were wrong. At this stage. Like I said there is still much on this story which will play out over the next few years.
