Hi all, great coverage on the european markets (thanks everyone and a special thanks to Mapreader!)
I was going through some past announcements and I came aross the sale of a Bluegen to a US energy utility and was just wondering if anyone has come across any further info in this market? http://www.cfcl.com.au/Assets/Files/20100805_CFCL_USA_5Aug2010.pdf
In that announcement, they don't actually specify the energy utility, however CFCL has listed SoCalGas as a partner on their website and I am guessing that this may be it...please correct me if I am wrong on this as it is just an assumption at this stage. Smart Hybrid Systems Inc is a local partner that installed the Bluegen into the energy utility. http://www.smarthybridsystems.com
After over a years worth of testing, it would be very interesting to find out how it is all going....one year demo was completed in Nov 2011, one year extension granted till 2012, so we're not too far away from getting some results... http://www.smarthybridsystems.com/company/history.html
After a quick look at SoCalGas website they have a 'Self Generation Incentive Program', providing monetary incentives with fuel cells as an eligible category. http://www.socalgas.com/innovation/self-generation/index.shtml
Would be great to hear of any news from this part of the world, please share if you find anything! Cheers :)
