Australia is the "joke" of the international investment & broker community. To be in such a powerful position economically a few years back, it has been brought to its knees by incompetent bungle, after bungle.

From Insulation debacle, to education debacle, to mining tax debacle, to the current NBN fiasco ... this country has proved its inability to make sound financial decisions, resulting in billions of dollars fleeing our shores & markets.

This is having the impact we are seeing now, where other markets are clearly outstripping the ASX, while our market flops around like a drunk bum on a roller coaster.
