The USA has tried and is still trying very hard with Hugo Chavez; it certainly has tried time and again with damn near the whole of S.America. It failed miserably and after a whole lot of slaughter of innocents achieved nothing. They thought that their little offsider Hussein would be a great deal more co-operative (probably was, for all we know) but there didn't seem to be an easy basement sale of the oil in Iraq, so they gave Iraq the old Mario Puzzo/Mafia choice - a choice they couldn't refuse.

The best thing you can do for people or governments, or flowers you love is look at them even more carefully than those people or things you hate.
