American consumer drives chinese manufacturer drives commodity prices higher, drives our company profits higher ... means lots of tax revenue and prosperity for australians. I can't see how the US economy turning sour is going to be good for us as investors. After a crash the market goes sideways for a year. Totally flat! These forums will have half the numbers as well I myself will be exiting all money out of the stockmarket on Monday as well, and will be sticking my money in a term deposit for a few months, but I can't see the market as being a fun place to be buying into even after a crash event. It'll be years before any speculative stocks become viable plays for research savy investors like us to make money out of them.
