The August position report was released last week.
As the first report for the new crop year it does not tell a lot, but it does show that harvest started late this year and the early quality is quite poor.
Given the lateness of the harvest it’ll be months before we can start to get an idea on the overall expected crop size so that’ll leave buyers and sellers guessing so we could see quite a bit of volatility in the almond price.
