February position report continues to show low crop receipts with total supply now 13% lower than the same time last year and rejects continue at the same pace, or very marginally higher than reported the previous month.
Shipments for February were down, but were still the third highest February on record. At a guess I would think that buyers are holding back allowing their inventories to deplete in the hope of a retracement in almond pricing from current levels, however I can only see that happening with lower demand.
