Charting has value, and as you say in a no news situation it can do a pretty good job of predicting price movements, that may be because so many have read the book and so by weight of agreed practitioners move the future SP, and then can correctly say they predicted it.
All things being equal, but DTR is being manipulated beyond belief, and the future SP must combine the Book knowledge dovetailed into the unique game.
I do not trade because I just want to do it like Buffett, and not go crazy. I also post here to give my genuine warning to any Australian Newbies not to have weak hands.
I truly believe DTR will be a producer and pay dividends, only then will the SP truly reflect value.
I know there are some smart people here that have deep knowledge of DTR, Bogart as my #1 pick, but others including yourself.
There are also many that predict doom and prices that may do so just because they have a hunch, and there are serious chartists that share their TA.
I respect all views so long as the motives are good.
