An unaswerable question given that it would not be just the US and China going at it. The whole S.E.Asian area would be involved.
And if it turned nuclear well no one wins.
The subs are the biggest unknown. Russia and the US both subs that cruise the world constantly and sit in positions to attack, both have nuclear weapons on their subs.
Its all just speculation.
