I recently read about a Uber type app which enabled taxi drivers to do courier work.
Apparently it was popular with taxi drivers because (a) they could use bus lanes and so get from one place to another faster than the traditional couriers and (b) taxi drivers were under pressure from Uber so they were keen for additional income.
I can't remember if the provider of this service was Get Swift, but from this description, it sounds quite close.
