    This guy had been listed on Linkedin under NanoDX for sometime and from what I can see he "is" the military advisory board for NanoDX. So this development makes sense of that now.

    Brigadier General Jack Hammond is a retired U.S. Army General Officer and veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan. Since his retirement in 2012, Hammond has served as the chief executive for Home Base which is an innovative partnership between the Boston Red Sox and the Massachusetts General Hospital.

    Home Base operates the nation’s premier center of excellence for the mental health and brain injuries that affect our Veterans and their families. Drawing upon the faculty of Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Home Base has reimagined what is possible by developing new treatment models and a full spectrum of care for the invisible wounds of war. Hammond has raised more than 130 million dollars to fund breakthrough clinical programs at the nation’s first and largest private sector clinical center for Veterans. This state-of-the-art national center for innovation has delivered first class care and support, at no cost, to more than 25,000 people from all 50 states and 6 countries. In addition, the Home Base faculty has trained more than 75,000 clinicians, participated in national research projects, and most recently launched a national media channel to extend the reach of its non-clinical programs.

    General Hammond is a proven combat leader and entrepreneur. Hammond has led strategic and tactical formations of U.S. and allied forces in combat and counter-terrorism operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. During the invasion of Iraq, Hammond simultaneously commanded two separate battalion task forces 100 miles apart in Fallujah and in the Sunni-Triangle. In 2012, General Hammond served as the Commanding General for US Forces in Kabul Province, Afghanistan, conducting counterterrorism operations and transitioning security from the International Security Assistance Force to the Afghan National Security Forces in the Capital Province.

    General Hammond has advised President Obama’s Commission on Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization and presented at the White House Veterans and Military Family Mental Health Conference. He later served as a member of President George W. Bush’s Health and Well-being Task Force and his Warrior Wellness Alliance. In addition, Hammond served on Secretary Bob McDonald’s MyVA Advisory Committee, Governor Mitt Romney’s Homeland Security Advisory Council, and Governor Charlie Baker’s Healthcare Transition Team & Veteran Advisory Council.

    General Hammond’s military awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, two Legion of Merit Medals – one for combat service, the Bronze Star Medal, two Meritoriously Service Medals, five Army Commendation Medals – one for Valor, two Valorous Unit Awards, the Combat Action Badge, the French Medal of National Defense, and the Bulgarian Medal of Mission Support. In 2019, Hammond received the VFW Commander in Chief’s Gold Medal of Merit.

    General Hammond earned a BS from the University of Massachusetts, an MS from Boston University, and completed a National Security Fellowship at Harvard University. In addition, he completed the International Crisis Management Program with the Israeli Defense Force, and the NATO Counter Insurgent Leader Course in Kabul, Afghanistan.
