    as an east coast grower 'cake i miss the single desk,'cause it worked here [and we had the benefit of the base west aussie production,that underwrote the single desk operations]--thanks for that bloke.[tongue in cheek]

    the east coast deregulated enviroment is now about traders picking the eyes out,and blending crap with good stuff and selling the lot as 'australian quality' .

    how is your livestock venture going? the road traffic authority put my truck off the road the other day, and now i get to decide whether to buy a brand new one,or wind down the grain side of the business.

    the old days you could deliver the whole harvest with an average 30-40 k round trip. now a 200 k round trip is not unusual.
