The brilliant move by Wayne Swann to push the tax free threshold up to $18,000 from $6000 has allowed loop holes every where a couple can split their income and receive $36000 tax free and when added to the super pension the government has lost a lot of tax and it is mainly richer people who take advantage of it to avoid tax.
What ever Shorten does to trusts they will not receive the extra tax they say because people are creative and my accountants already had several strategy's worked out when we set up our trust years ago in case the government wanted to extract some tax.
