Uses for silver/ future

Hello all.

I thought I would have a quick google and look over at silver and it's current and future uses.

Silver has many industrial uses, accounting for more than half of annual demand worldwide over the last five years. This means that economic growth can affect silver prices far more than it affects gold. Only 10-15% of annual gold demand worldwide comes from industrial use, the rest going to jewelry and investment.

Today silver is used to solder and brazing alloys, batteries, dentistry, glass coatings, LED chips, medicine, nuclear reactors, photography, photovoltaic (or solar) energy, RFID chips (for tracking parcels or shipments worldwide), semiconductors, touch screens, water purification, wood preservatives and many other industrial uses.

By 2050, it is estimated that solar panels and wind turbines will require three times more silver than what is used today.

Approximately 20 grams of silver is required per solar panel.

I'd like to see silver as an industrial use and important element rather than just a nice shiny bar.
