Only way IMO that a complete bale-out of US assets in foreigners hands in favour of repatriation is to be prevented is for the yanks to try-start another red herring war to try-con the world it's safer to keep their cash in the US.

Personally I prefer Dr Doom's advice the only real money now is GOLD and that it should be held outside the US cos they have already set precedent where its possession can be outlawed and they can steal it from you.

I can live with that. What safer place to hold unhedged GOLD than in the ground in Greenland in full view of salivating majors seeking UNHEDGED ounces haha !!!
