Ausheds: "High kW/kg power density means smaller, lighter, more compact, in auto parlance a more efficient "package" for a given task, Tesla illustrate it perfectly, heavier induction over the rear axle, PMM of the far more congested front."

Using a BEV to try and make a point about your beloved mild fake hybrids? Is that because the only Mild fake hybrid you can point to uses less NdPr than the vehicle it replaced?

What you are attempting to say is that the tiny baby bumper motor in a mild hybrid has to be small and therefore has to be NdFeB because it's up in the congested front engine conpartment. Nonsense. Your own example proves you wrong as MB put their own non-NdFeB baby booster right up front.

NdFeB use is spreading. That's my entire investment thesis: Less NdFeB in more motors.

But that spread is a slow process because motors last a long time.

What is needed is a demand growth market and the only one of merit to LYC investors is traction motors.

Not baby bumper boosters in mild hybrids, especially if they don't even use Nd FeB, like the only example you've brought us from Mercedes Benz.
