On July 22, 2019, Trump issued five Presidential Determinations authorizing authorities to strengthen the domestic industrial base and supply chain for rare earth elements.
These Determinations relate to the following:
- Light Rare Earth Elements
- Heavy Rare Earth Elements
- Rare Earth Metals and Alloys
- Neodymium Iron Boron Rare Earth Sintered Material and Permanent Magnets
- Samarium Cobalt Rare Earth Permanent Magnets
