    Hi Rob,

Good idea in theory but it wont work mate, not with Google Earth anyway.

The reason is quite straight forward,
Firstly Google uses the word satellite, most of the high-resolution imagery of cities is aerial photography taken from aircraft flying at 800–1500 feet rather than from satellites; while most of the rest of the imagery is in fact from satellites..

Google have 23 satellite rotating the earth, the Earth being 360deg, means the satellites are not constantly taking images like a movie of the Earth.

Therefore, it unrealistic and bordering on Science fiction to believe that Google has the technology to back track it's images to work out "Who done it".

Just for the record, it's more plausible to believe that an American Gov't organisation, say CIA or Homeland has that information now. If they do then it would be centralized to an area of the States (or more likely an Arab Country) and the digital downloading of the software would be astronomical, it would have to be compressed etc to save space and being that it's 24/7 would be one big file.
