Thanks ITM, I had read something about that. The Japanese were also looking for a virus at the time. Maybe IMV was in play in Japan. The massive overdosing of CQ may have been triggered by the virus if it was there undetected. One thing for sure the cases were reducing before CQ was banned. But that was CQ and PBT2 has never caused any subacute myelooptico-neuropathy in the 8 human trials to date. I thought it may be the half life of PBT2 in humans compared to dogs, but I think the half life is shorter in dogs, from my faulty memory.
