H mate, I run my SMSF, majority is invested in shares, superior investment in my opinion, obviously that varies to your specific level of risk in terms of which shares. I’ve personally done a lot better than my fund did because I’m not bound by their criteria, anyone with a little common sense & effort will out perform a fund.
I personally think property is a fearful investment currently, just hoping the economic conditions will allow someone to be able to pay more for it in the future isn’t a convincing argument, having said that, everyone needs somewhere to live.
