Hi JBC,
As you have already been burnt by the illiquid
nature of PSA at present, your strategy at your
next exit should be an interesting exercise ... yes?
-----
Let's have a reality check here, as this continual
ramping of PSA, is starting to sound a bit like
HDR, when it hit 1.10 and WPL bought in at
the highs ..... and history saw it drop some
70 cents or 63% .....
-----
OK, let's say you are right ... Fern doesn't give
a toss about the liquidity right now ... but, he
doesn't have to trade the stock for an income
..... we do.
Also, forget about the institutions, as another
poster observed, they are not going to chase
the price up & up just for a piece of the action,
anyway.
However, over the next month or so the
fundamentals will likely keep the small traders
interested and we will probably see some good
gains, yet.
This will attract more small players and we will
likely see a spike, just like AYO earlier in the year.
Those spikes are fine for traders who are aware
of them and have an exit plan, to take advantage
of the sharp price spikes .....
..... no matter what the buy-and-hold crowd say,
it is painful to sit through a 50% retracement, just
to satisfy your ego, in the long term ... just ask
some of the AYO or HDR holders !~!
We haven't made any money, until our exit
plan has been executed ..... live trades do not
pay the bills.
-----
Now, just as it has taken some months for
sound fundamentals to fall into place, it will also
turn again next year, for whatever reason .....
... Vermillion is completed ... a lull, no news, market
backs off ... China wells completed, weather heats
up in USA and gas prices fall ..... market starts to
panic, as everybody tries to take profits, at the
same time.
..... and who is left to buy ??
Only those, that had an exit plan going into the
price spike ..... and they will wait for the best
opportunity to re-enter.
As you found out (with only 100,000) last week, traders are ruthless and they are not coming to
anyone's rescue ..... so what will it be like, when
a few million are dumped simultaneously.
-----
So, the whole focus of this post is:
If we must play with fire, then we should realise
that a good exit strategy is important, so that
we can take some profits, while they exist and
BEFORE the rest of the market gets burnt .....
..... and for those who have any doubts about
the illiquid nature of PSA right now, just take
a look at the price action, near last Monday's
close.
..... or maybe even ask, jocam9.
-----
Keep pumping it up, we will go along for the
ride, almost the top as well, but we will not
be staying long enough to get burnt on the
other side .....
happy trading all
yogi
P.S. ..... holding PSA.
