Utah Brine Mining - Legislation

Hi @Mark1955 the brine Bill that I posted this morning

HB433 was amendment number 2 which passed the 12/03/2024

IMHO it concludes in this amendment that UDOGM will be the overarching body and grants powers that decides all things Brine Mining in Utah to establish this they are tasked to do a study on Brine mining in Utah and submit this to the National Resources Agriculture and Environment interim committee in their October 2024 meeting .

Importantly the Bill takes affect 01/05/2024 hence why I stated that they maybe occupied with it .

in addition it allows the UDOGM to designate areas of land at multi mineral brine mining deposits in theory this IMHO is designed to give the UDOGM the power to :

A) collaborate with other agencies Federal or State to group multiple land holding claims in to one area for the purposes of permitting claim management and of course "extractive multi mineral mining" .

B) it will negate "public comment" phases of application .

C) it will negate "frivolous object" and generally streamline intentions with out losing control of submissions essentially far less voices to satisfy .
