First, it is not halted. The state government only mentioned that they will consider extra factors that were not included in their initial processing. It is NOT a rejection of the application. The claim from those protagonists that pumping back brine will contaminate the underground water is nonsense. If this were the case, most wells on earth would have been completely shut down. The government, by law, needs to consider their request, and I believe it will not be difficult for the company to prove them wrong. However, preparing the supporting documents and going through the process does take some time. If you keep thinking of this reconsideration during the application process as a complete halt on the project, it is your right to plan your own schedule. But please do not spread fear that is not true at all.
