Hi Stalmc, Agree with your comments re shorters. I believe it was only introduced to get more money for the institutions and fundies. I believe they can manipulate to their hearts content because of their size with their algorithms and the like and the whole market is just one big casino. If your long, not only do you have to try and spot the trend turning but you have to guess whether the big boys have some inside information, which is pushing the price down or there is in fact bad news coming out. In the long term they fleece all us small investors and they are allowed to thrive by the regulatory bodies because the greater turnover means more fees for them. Lets face it, do you think they care about us small investors? In the end when they wipe us out they will have only themselves to blame and then they can feed on one another. Sorry for rambling on and Good luck to all fellow holders.
