Any doubts as to the popularity of v8 car racing in this state were well and truly shattered when i attended
sandown park on 1/12/02 for the last race/session of the season
Every car park was full to capacity and i would estimate that at least 15,000 petrol heads with personalized number plates watched the v8's go round and round
A big crowd made to the ground by public transport
If u were not interested in what was going on trackside
there was always time to marvel at the reconditioned gts's or other holdens and fords cars (back in the days when real cars were made!)
A great day was had by all
It proves TEN is on a winner and this shown in it's tv
ratings
Theres's more much sport than afl,nrl and golf
