The costs of bankruptcy admin. in the US are staggering. Huge value is stripped in the actual admin. by trustees, administrators, courts (who charge fees-partially covered by taxpayers) and armies of lawyers. Comes close to an admin scam w/ creditors receiving what's left after the bankruptcy process itself strips assets.
Viable for (very) large cap companies but a nightmare for mid & small cap creditors.
