I'd believe that bassyabbie, if I listened to what a financial planner told me pre gfc I'd be broke now. Infact he isn't doing too well but still happy to tell others what they should be doing with their money.

As for the other polite reply I got, I think you missed the point totally. If push comes to shove 2 couples can share a 3br house, kids can move back home and so on. I wasn't suggesting we move to a 3rd world country and sleep 15 per room.

As for students I really don't care where they sleep, I started full time work at 16 and paid my own way while I listened to them complain about not getting enough handouts. Now I listen to them complain because their part time job at bunnings won't pay for their party lifestyle with enough leftover to buy a house in the CBD. You're barking up the wrong tree if you think I would give them a second thought.
